Camp Xaipe is an exciting Boston-area summer-long initiative spearheaded by Camp Directors Andrea Mercado (Mid '96) and Anna Pinkert (Mid '06), who are organizing, and encouraging others to organize, outings in the Boston area to keep us alumni out of trouble for the summer.

While the Camp Directors are making an effort to post a notice about all events to the boston listserve here at adps.org, events are being generally managed through adpsBoston's new Facebook page. To join Camp Xaipe and receive updates and invitations to events, the Camp Directors strongly suggest that you join Facebook and request membership to the Camp Xaipe group.

Here's a little more about the group in Camp Director Anna's own words:
"The genesis of this idea comes from your Camp Co-directors for the summer: one girl who went to archaeology camp, Japanese camp, gifted camp, and Shakespeare camp - and another girl who didn't go to camp at all. The idea is to experience camp the way it SHOULD have been, without any of the downsides (mosquitos, cute boys who won't dance with you, girls who won't kiss you, raccoons in the toilets) - but with ALL of the upsides: Awesome people, fun activities, sunshine, and NO PARENTS (unless you, yourself ...[are a parent])"
