Calendaring Made Easy

Craig suggested I write a post about how to subscribe to the adps calendar, for those Alpha Delts just getting started with Google Calendar. Or with iCal or Sunbird alpha, I guess, but I'm only going to describe how to do it through Google, so those other folks will have to extrapolate.

1) From the Google Calendar page, click on the + sign next to "Other Calendars" in the "Calendars" box on the left. It's a blue square with a white +.

2)The + should bring you to a new page that says "Add Other Calendar" with a few tab subheadings. Click on the one all the way to the right: "Public Calendar Access".

3) In the box that appears, paste this text, without the quotation marks: "webcal://adps.org/event/ical/all/all".
Hit Add or OK.

A confirmation message should appear near the top of the screen saying the calendar has been added. It might take a few moments before the calendar appears in the list in the left-hand sidebar. When it does, you can click on the check box next to it to show or hide the calendar events.

This makes it easy to see what events will conflict with new episodes of Veronica Mars, assuming you subscribe to that calendar, too.
